Okay Girls, I Am BACK in the mutha fuckin building bitch . . So lets talk tea . .I wanna know, what causes people to join/leave houses. . This seems to be a major issue, with girls hopping from one house to another, and so on an so forth . . I do believe, everyone has to find their fit, but the reasoning behind it has to be of some substance right??? Or is it just me? Any who, I honestly can't see myself in any other house but the one i'm at right now, It may not be the dream idea of a "perfect house", it can be messy at times, it can be late at times, but it gave me my start, and i'm done with virgin in November. I just see some people leave houses for wrong reasons, and some people join houses for the wrong reason . . I just want some clarification or what it means to someone being in a house. I joined my house because i get to be different. I get to showcase my talent, and not have a lot of other performance people to worry about, and get the attention. I get to be the one that shines for the house as far as performance.  Not joining the house that is the hottest, or the one that all my girlfriends are in. It also gives me the drive, since i am kind of a lone ranger, i gotta step it up. Really make it hot for myself and for the house. That old saying "You make the House, the house doesn't make you" comes into play.

Another thing, what about dating someone in a different house than you? I wonder does that affect how people see you, or how the people in ya house look at you, or something around the lines of that. At the end of the day with me, I'd say fuck all this gay shit, if i like a nigga, ballroom scene or not, i'm going after him. Even if he was in my own house. Because at the end of the day, its not real life, and you never let the ballroom scene mess with your real life. Again, Just My Thoughts. #NOSHADE

I WAS TOLD THAT KARMA WOULD FIND ME AFTER EXPRESSING MY THOUGHTS TOWARDS A PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL. THE SITUATION WAS I WAS LOGGED INTO A SOCIAL/DATING SITE AND THIS GUY SENDS ME A MESSAGE. HE STATED HOW BEAUTIFUL I WAS AND WHAT NOT. I’M HUMBLE SO WHENEVER I GET MESSAGES OF THE SORT I ALWAYS REPLY “THANK YOU” EVEN IF THE PERSON IS NOT MY TYPE PHYSICALLY. SO WHEN I DID RESPOND WITH MY MERE “THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT” HE PROCEEDED TO ASK ME QUESTIONS SUCH AS AM I SINGLE, WHAT I LIKE TO DO, WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR AND THINGS OF THE SORT.

IT’S NOT THAT I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ANYONE ASKING ME THOSE THINGS. AFTER ALL THAT IS HOW YOU GET TO KNOW SOMEONE. MY ISSUE WAS THAT I HAD ALREADY WILLINGLY PROVIDED THAT INFORMATION IN MY PROFILE IN WHICH IS READILY ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE WHO HAPPENS TO VIEW MY PAGE. MY RELATIONSHIP STATUS CLEARLY SAID SINGLE AND I WAS HIGHLY DESCRIPTIVE ON WHAT I’M SEARCHING FOR, WHO I AM, AND THE WORKS. SO IT FRUSTRATES ME WHEN INDIVIDUALS ASK SUCH THINGS. WHY YOU MIGHT ASK? BECAUSE IT SHOWS LACK OF CHARACTER. IF YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN SOMEONE YOU WOULD HAVE ALREADY DONE A “PRELIMINARY” ON THEM A LA VIEWING THEIR PICTURES, RELATIONSHIP STATUS, WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY (IF THEY DECIDED TO SAY ANYTHING) AND THE WORKS. AT LEAST THAT’S WHAT I DO. HOW ELSE WILL YOU KNOW IF THAT PERSON IS EVEN GOING TO BE REMOTELY COMPATIBLE FOR YOU?

SO AFTER HE ASKED THOSE THINGS I SIMPLY RESPONDED THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS. I’M NOT BEING RUDE BUT I JUST FEEL AS THOUGH I DON’T NEED TO RE-PROVIDE INFORMATION I ALREADY SPENT MY ENERGY AND TIME IN. SO HE RESPONDS BACK WITH A SIMPLE “WOW” OF COURSE AT THIS POINT I WAS TRULY INSULTED. IF ANYBODY SHOULD BE UPSET IT SHOULD BE ME AND I WASN’T. I WAS MERELY EXPRESSING MYSELF IN A NON-CONFRONTATIONAL MANNER. SO AFTER HIS “WOW” RESPONSE MY SARCASTIC SIDE CAME OUT AND I SAID “YES… WOW AT THE FACT THAT SOMEONE WOULD ASK REDUNDANT QUESTIONS WHEN THEY ALREADY HAVE THE ANSWERS IN FRONT OF THEM. THAT’S WHAT UNWISE FOOLISH INDIVIDUALS DO AND I HAVE NO INTEREST IN CONVERSING WITH SUCH INDIVIDUALS. NEEDLESS TO SAY HE WAS NOT TOO THRILLED ABOUT THAT AND TOLD ME I HAD A “NASTY ATTITUDE” AND THAT I SHOULDN’T BE SO RUDE TO PEOPLE AND THAT ONE DAY KARMA WOULD GET ME. HE BLOCKED ME. WHICH IS FINE WITH ME. I HAD NO INTEREST ON EVEN REPLYING TO HIM ANY LONGER.

SO I GUESS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS STORY WAS TO INFORM INDIVIDUALS OF MY OPINION ABOUT SOCIAL NETWORKING. READ PEOPLE’S PROFILES FIRST BEFORE HITTING THEM UP. YES THAT PERSON MAY BE ATTRACTIVE AND WHAT HAVE YOU BUT IT SHOWS A LOT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER. IF YOU’RE GOING TO ASK QUESTIONS IT SHOULD BE REGARDING THINGS YOU ALREADY READ SUCH AS “I SEE YOU’RE SINGLE… HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SINGLE?” OR “I SEE YOU LIKE TO READ WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO READ?”

Tokiio's Thoughts : Soo, I want to hear everyone's opinion . . . What do people think about the younger girls in the scene? The 15-18 year olds that are highly involved in the scene. Do you think they should be involved in the first place? Do you think that people don't really count them? Because They come out to balls, knowing that they have school, or certain things or circumstances to go back to after its all over. Considering that, thats why the Ki Ki scene was made. Most places i've heard or seen, dont really have a major kiki scene, or functions that are earlier, for the younger girls interested to attend. Thats why i took the initive in my city. I threw my very first kiki ball, at our city's gay & lesbian community center. I'm 17. For most of you who dont know. a 6-9 pm function so that they younger girls, and older girls can come out and play together.  Giving a community setting to this ballroom scene. That function made me a leader in the Youth LGBT community, as well as a innovator in the ballroom scene. I just feel strongly, that because of the number of younger girls in the scene, something should be done. More early functions, maybe a kiki scene coming out more often, or a forum, or group to encourage the younger ones to do more with life. Focus on being a leader, while still being involved. Anyone share a similar View???
